TRIBUTARY VOLUNTEER MODEL
To provide missionaries with a low-cost place to spend up to 12 days when returning to the United States after foreign assignment, the decision was made to utilize volunteer labor, contributions and resources whenever possible for maintenance of existing cabins and construction of new facilities. Currently the training/maintenance facility is under construction and will include some rooms for volunteers and/or trainers. Also, there are plans for RV parking facilities for volunteers to utilize. Tributary is debt free.
Emphasis has been placed on safety training and briefings for volunteers and the safety training will also be provided for missionaries staying at the retreat center. Listings of volunteer needs will be posted on the Tributary website which will be updated as projects are completed and/or added.
Training provided will be adjusted based upon feedback from the missionaries staying at the cabins and to the extent possible, training schedules will be set to accommodate the plans of the guests.
